do you think high school athletes should get paid?

well if they do it would be in gum. I believe that players would no longer be playing for the love of the game but for money. Were constantly trying to gain something for all we do. I think that player will miss a valuable lesson if they were to be paid. Learning discipline and how to work together would only be a way to obtain money. This is so unlikely to happen though its hard to even phantom high school players getting paid. The fact is that we cannot even get money for things we need in class, where would we find the money to pay so many high school athletes. We can't exclude any game or any school, how would they ever pay for it. Lastly i would say that not many high school atheletes have reach the talent worthy of being paid. College is understandable because we they have a great amount of fans. They have also develop the talent, and the coverage through the media. High school athletes should definately learn to play for the enjoyment and love of the game, not for money.

Do you think the driving age should be 16 or 18?

I think it should be 17 but since I have choices that doesn't include 17 my next best would have to be 18. As shocking as it is for a teenagr to decide to wait a little longer, i believe it's necessary. I dont believe there is a magical change that happens at the age of 18. But I do believe there is a level of maturity required in other to drive. I also believe that it is unlikely that you will find it in a 16 year old driver. Driving is a responsability and a priviledge, and most people even 18 year old cannot graps that. When on the road your life is not the only one at risk but other lives as well. I feel a lot better driving even if I had to wait longer, knowing that someone mature or close to it is behind the wheels. I dont want to generalize that every 16 year old are immature, but unfortunately the majority of them are. I dont believe that 2 more years will cause any harm and if it might save a life, then I'll glady wait.

how was your weekend?

My weekend was blessed and very enlighten. Friday I had to do some preparation for my great-grandma's funeral so I was tired. Friday I didn't make it to school, so I have some quizzes I must catch up with. Saturday was the actually funeral, it wasn't a deeply sadden departure because she was 112 years old. Im sure my grandparents felt it the most because at any age losing your mother is not easy. I had first hand experience of this October 15 when my mom passed away. Sunday was blessed as usual, I went to church then I came back for youth meeting. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay for the night services. I was able to watch some inspiring messages on TBN when I got home. Overall there was some things that I wanted to do during the weekend that I didnt do but it was blessed.

Is it dishonest to lie to keep a secret?

Yes it is dishonest, though it would just as bad to tell a secret. The best way to avoid being dishonest is to simply not reply to anything that would revealed the secret. Asking the person you're keeping the secret for is another way of avoiding being dishonest. Let the person you're in a position where it's either lying or keep the secret and you do not want to be dishonest. The friend might just say that it's no worth it and you could avoid dishonesty. If it doesn't work out for the best and the friend wants you to keep the secret, it's basically your choice. Keeping a precious secret might seem like a good reason for telling a lie. The fact is a lie is a lie wether there is a reason for it or not. Once you start arguing that lie you will argue every lie that you ever told or will ever tell. There is always a reason to lie though it may not be as thoughtful as keeping a secret. Everytime a lie is told it's dishonesty, for it not to be would require a change in the meaning of dishonesty.

what is your favorite time of the year?

I not sure if it's simply depending on weather or just a preferred time of the year. I would have to say my favorite time of the year is the summer. It's not neccessarily becasue of the weather but because of the lack of school. I do appreciate education and the opprtunity it offers but I detest waking up early in the morning in other to receive that information. The fact that the weather is not my sole reason for liking this time of year, I still do like the temperature. As long as the summer is not extremely hot, there are many fun and fuffiling things to do. The opportunity for an adventure or a vacation is quite attractive as well. Florida offers a lot during the summer, and I must say that it is at it's best during those time. My summer are filled with lazy days, which sometimes i could use less of. Overall the summer time would have to be my favorite time especially living here, there's not mch of anything else.

how was your weekend?

Saturday was extremely entertaining, i got to see this auditions or contest for Onstage New York. Now mind you this was not a planned affair, but it definately not regretable. The lack of time I was left with to do my homework may beg to differ. the performances were truly extraordinary, they range from ballet to hip-hop dances. They were indeed talented people, who were very experienced and trained. The rest of my weekend was relatively regular, I opened up a new chase account but evils of all evils I misplaced my coupon for one hundred dollar. I am thus officially one hundred dollar poorer. I had a great time at church, followed a couple of hours later by a great youth meeting and night services. Monday was very frustrating as I try to finish all of my neglected homework. I try to call off work in other to gain more time but someone had already done that, unfortunately though arguable since i would be losing money i only managed to work at a later time. Which meant a later bedtime and a later wake up, its a terrible chain reaction, with firm roots on that accidentally wonderfully entertaining saturday.

do you think school should only be monday though thursday. 7:30am-4:30pm.explain

Personally that type of schedule would work out terrible for me. Last year I might have said yes because I didn't work afterschool but for me and to anyone that does work afterschool it's a killer schedule. If this schedule would mean more time in the classroom, I would go against it because I feel that I spent way to much time in class in the first place. My classes at BC were about one hour long and I probably learn more there. The fact that I'm a senior makes this question very irrelevant to me thus I can't give a sincere opinion. I do however believe that were the teachers efficient enough and the students mature enough they could learn in four days what they need to learn in five. The idea of school is not simply to give the future of America an education but it's also to keep them out of trouble, and out parents hair. Just about anything is worth a try though, but Im glad I wont be the going through it. No, I dont necessarily care for a different school schedule right now.

How was your weekend?

It was a blessing because I went to church on sunday and I didnt have to work during the weekend. Saturday was a bit of a lazy day, and I was really dissappointed that I didnt accomplish all that I had set out to do. This weekend was also filled with frustration, especially towards my little nephew. I had to babysit during the weekend and most of the time he's a handful. Nothing extraordinary happened except sunday night at church, that's always quite unbelievable. My sister borrowed money from me so I went over my budget for the week. I will probably have to deny myself something in order to make up for it. There's really not much of a story to tell concerning my weekend, I did basic survival things. I finished a book that I had been meaning to finish for some time now, so that was gratifying. The ohter dissappointing thing about my weekend would have to be missing the opportunity to improve my driving skills. Overall Im thankful for a safe weekend for me and my family.
